The cost of the building in Nepal is just over £13,000.
The village will contribute 30% of the project in the form of labour to clear and level the land, dig the foundations and source the timber and stone.
The team are actively fundraising to cover the full cost of the building plus raising funds to pay for their own personal costs of taking part in Project Nepal.
We welcome any help with respect to possible sources of funding.

The idea of the training component of the project is to learn the skills required for the building work in Nepal. While the building methods used in Nepal may be similar to those used in this country some things will have to be approached differently, for example, we will have no access to power tools and so sawing wood and drilling holes will all be by hand!
The building work at Bradley Wood will be much more complicated than that in Nepal – it will have water, sanitation and electricity for example and will have to be built to more rigorous building regulations to comply with Building Control. This will give us the chance to work as a team and at least practice basic skills and learn any new ones that might be required.
You don’t have to be a trained builder or carpenter to join the team but a basic knowledge of DIY would be very useful. A willingness to learn from those who do have the skills is more important.
The time scale for the building in Nepal is approx 12 days and so 6 weekends building at Bradley Wood should give us an idea of the effort required in Nepal to complete the project.
